Mission Statement
The Wholeness Center provides safety and services to victims and survivors who have experienced domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, and stalking. It is our goal to help these individuals to make decisions about their lives in a supportive, non-judgmental, and empowering atmosphere. As an organization, the Wholeness Center also promotes the concepts of non-violence and equality as viable alternatives to aggression, domination, and control through education, advocacy, and social action.
Our History
The Wholeness Center was founded in 1984. The agency was originally started by a group of concerned citizens seeking to create and improve services and options to victims of domestic violence, as well as families affected by a variety of other important issues. Over the years the agency has provided varying programs and services, including a food pantry, safe homes, focused financial assistance, and information about community resources.
In June 1998 the Wholeness Center opened an emergency shelter. In June 2003 the agency offices and shelter moved to its current location. The facility has the capacity to shelter up to 12 adults/children and 4 infants.
